Very nice hut with traditional good food. The atmosphere is very nice. We had a hike from Filzmoos, which took us 1h45 to get there ( in Winter). It was a nice hike through the forest with a beautiful mointain view. In the winter there is a lot of snow, so be prepared for this. You can also get there via horse coaches/sled or a taxi.

Don’t miss this restaurant in Filzmoos. We had the best meal there and the view is beyond beautiful. The menu is authentic and the food is amazing! The area is full of hiking trails of all levels, from easy for the whole family to long and steep treks- perfect to work up an appetite before having a huge schnitzel and beer overlooking the mountains. Cannot recommend enough!

Very worthwhile to visit. Driving up there from Filzmoos you take a small winding road through the pinetrees and have wonderful views on the mountains. Oberhofalm is typical Austrian Hütte with nice terrace space. The inside is vert nicely decorated. Typical Austrian dishes, big portions. Good friendly service. In wintertime you can only approach the Hütte by taxi or by horse and carriage.

This encompasses all that is Austrian. Live wind instruments playing, clear beef soup and deer goulash and incredible Austrian beer. I couldn't ask for more.
